Qualifications: Japanese Patent Attorney
Mr. Suzuki’s practice focuses on patent prosecution in the fields of general chemistry, including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, polymeric chemistry, and catalytic chemistry. He has handled inventions including resin compositions, films and laminates catalytic compositions, advanced materials, and batteries.
Prior to joining Osha Liang, Mr. Suzuki worked as a Japanese patent attorney for Wakabayashi Patent Agency in Japan for 11 years. He was the assistant manager of the chemicals division. His duties included filing Japanese patent applications and foreign equivalents in the U.S., Europe, China, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and India, for example, responding to office actions, filing appeals, and conducting interviews with Examiners. Mr. Suzuki previously worked as a chemical engineer for Kao Corporation where he was in charge of developing a catalyst used for synthesizing a surfactant.
