The annual event is organized by OPEN Houston’s Charter Membership and Executive Committee. The theme of this year’s event is “Opportunity of Adversity.” OPEN Houston’s Annual Business Pitch Competition brings together startups from the Houston area to compete for a $10,000 first place cash prize. All of the competitors also gain access to venture capitalists and experienced executives from across OPEN’s network. Past winners have gone on to great success, including 2014 runner up Luminostics who were recently accepted into Y Combinator.
