Event Description: US Bar/Japan Patent Office (JPO) Liaison Council Meeting
On June 10, 2016, the US Bar/JPO Liaison Council delegates met with JPO Commissioner Ito, Director Nonaka and other members of the JPO leadership in Seattle. The meeting was graciously hosted by Amazon, and presented a unique opportunity for face-to-face discussions with JPO leadership on issues of IP law, IP practice, and experiences of U.S. applicants at the JPO. Osha Liang’s Managing Partner, John Osha served as the US Bar/JPO Liaison Council Chair. Associate Ko Nakamura presented at the meeting on recent PTAB developments and PTAB appeals to the Federal Circuit. Photos from the event can be found below.
The US Bar/JPO Liaison Council meets annually with JPO leadership and is made up of more than 50 delegates representing local, state, and national bar groups across the United States.
