Osha Liang Files Amicus Brief for Design Basics, LLC
On July 15, 2016, Osha Liang Of Counsel, Louis K. Bonham, filed an amicus curiae brief in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. This brief is in support of the appellant’s petition for rehearing en banc in Home Design Services, Inc. v. Turner Heritage Homes, Inc., et al., and was filed on behalf of Osha Liang client Design Basics, LLC. The petition for rehearing en banc seeks to have the Eleventh Circuit revisit its precedent of Intervest Construction, Inc. v. Canterbury Estate Homes, Inc., 554 F.3d 914 (11th Cir. 2008), which has been heavily criticized by courts across the country.
Mr. Bonham is recognized as one of the leading attorneys in the country in the field of architectural copyright law. His practice emphasizes intellectual property litigation with particular emphasis on architectural copyright law, bankruptcy and fraudulent conveyance litigation, and appellate litigation.
